Title: Dalaman car rentals
Post by: alantj on January 18, 2015, 12:10:02 AM

A tip if you are booking a car from Dalamancarrentals.com  try rounding up your booking to a whole days rather than the exact times you need.  For some reason this can reduce the price.

I was checking prices for our Easter trip 7 days and was pretty pleased to get a price of £70. A few minutes later when I actually tried to book using our exact times (6 days 23hr) the rice had gone up to £80.

Putting 7 days back in the price went back down to £70. I tried it with a few other dates/cars and in most cases booking fulll days reduced the price by between £10 and £40.

Yes it is worth looking at full weeks hire, In the past when requiring a car of 5 or 10 days rounding up to 7 or 14 days with them saved money...

We've used Dalaman Cars & Brave Tors for car rental in the past & both have been good, looking at comparison prices I came across Rentacardalamanarirport.com who came out under a hundred for a week in May. Has anyone used them before? I know I can trust the others but am a bit wary of someone so cheap.

for the last few times I have used the search and compare car hire part on www.skyscanner.com (http://www.skyscanner.com) just tried a random week in May and got quotes starting from £89.62 for a Hyundai i20 5door or similar, Each time the car has been similar to advertised or an upgrade, the car has been less than a year old, 2 out of 3 have had a full tank of fuel (the other was half full). The only bit to watch is that often you have to ring them when you arrive, they don't seem to automatically be there, this is not a problem if you have read the instructions but unfortunately if you don't and just walk round the horseshoe of meet-n-greeters you can be delayed somewhat... Obviously check the insurance level included etc. (as I hire a car 4-6 times a year I have an annual policy to cover the excess etc., costs about £40 but it is a comfort and a saving over adding the excess insurance each trip).
