Happy New Year everyone!
I have spent a lovely hour snuggled up in my favourite chair putting some plans together for our 2 weeks in august. Emails sent to book boat trips and a bit of whats app-ing with the lovely Jayne (of Bob and Jayne fame) and we have plans afoot for a joint venture on the high seas plus a chance (i hope) to meet up with Lizilu20 and Automan on our last day!
I swore that this year we would do something on our last day, so it all seems to be coming together nicely!
Feeling happy x :)

Never too early Haybo to start planning, and thank you so much, because you have now put me in the mood for some forward planning too. Can't wait til August, so much to do and so much fun to be had by all! I am sure it will be here before we know it.
Feeling Happy Too :)

Looking forward to meeting you too Haybo. We may well be a bit jet lagged from our red eye flight but I'm sure a good natter, a nice glass of lal and an Efes or two over lunch will perk us up nicely. ;D

Indeed it will Lizzie!!!!! ;D

Can't wait til folks start posting about their trips. Is Lizzie allowed to post on here about her tropical getaway?
Must think about something else!
-
And here was me wondering if it was too early to start thinking about boat trips in May!

My planning so far.......
The holiday box/ basket is always ready with those things that you only ever use on holiday....turkish towels, adapters, mozzy spray etc.
I've postponed my birthday for three days so we can celebrate in Kalkan.....so far I've decided dinner in Sade....followed by drinks in a favourite bar, possibly Botanik or Trio......but secretly holding out for Kleo
Then a couple of days later my birthday present from my family is going to be the private hire of one of the Moby Dick boats!
All worth being a year older for!!

A big thank you to Kalkan Regular who pointed out that jet2 had a 10% sale on, so we bit the bullet and paid for the flights! Saved £166 so thats a result!
My stepson has decided to join us this year (20) so that will be good. Hope he isn't too bored after 2 years at uni, the pace is a little different. He has been to Kalkan before so i guess he knows what he's let himself in for!
-
I doubt that he will be bored, he may need a bit of a rest after 2 years at uni but I'm sure there will be enough for him to do and other young people to meet. I have learned that if the parents are paying those that have left home love to holiday with their parents. The £166 saved will soon be eaten up paying for drinks for the extra drinks!

Jet2s 10% off sale has been on for about 3 months. To me that's disingenuous at best.
