Hello Everyone
My family and i are looking to travel to Kalkan in July this year .
I havent been to Turkey since 1994 when we stopped at Dalyan and loved every minute of it :)
I remember going on coach trips to places such as Pumakele , The gorge , woollen / rug mill , ephesus and would love to show my children these places too.
Does anyone happen to know what the rough prices of these tours are please or a link to where i can find this information ?
Thankyou in advance

There are many tour operators in Kalkan, our preference is definetours.com (http://definetours.com), But note Ephesus is about 400km away (about 6hrs in a coach...). However there is loads to see locally.

Welcome to the Forum, Aznic.
You will see some changes to Turkey in the past 20 years - not least to Dalaman Airport which is very different today.
You have chosen well with Kalkan, we all love it :)
In terms of excursions from Kalkan to places like Ephesus or Pamukkale these would probably be overnighters as its quite a distance. I do think this has been discussed before so try putting Ephesus and/or Pamukkale into the search facility (see top of the page) and it will bring up previous posts which may offer more information. Sakklikent is about 50 mins away from Kalkan and a popular destination. Most of the travel companies, if not all, offer trips to there and the archeological sites close by at places like Xanthos or Tlos. Nothing as amazing as Ephesus which is a must if you are staying on the Aegean Coast. Try www.abitravel.net for a rough idea of prices.
Have a great stay :)

Think you will find Dalyan has changed considerably if you thought of returning. Things to consider obviously, how old are your children & how far do you want to go in the heat of summer. Your choices are great but plenty of places around Kalkan to see.,

Thanks for the replied :)
Yes I Google earthed Dalyan and was amazed at the difference.
When we went it was a very sleepy village with the most amazing people, atmosphere and pancake eatery !(I appreciate good food :D )
My children are 16,14 ,7 and 5 .
We are not afraid of driving , I'm trying to work out if it would be more cost effective to hire a car for 2 weeks or do coach excursions.
I've found there's not many companies that do 6 seater vehicles without them being vw mini buses at the cost of over £800 :(
To be honest I really can't wait to go back to Turkey it's been a place we constantly talk about fondly.
