Title: First timers - boats and trips
Post by: Alce on September 06, 2014, 05:35:44 PM
Visiting Kalkan for the first time in October and cannot wait. We are staying in the Kisla area and I read somewhere that there is a taxi boat over to the main harbour? Can anyone give me any details?
Also, I would love to visit Bezigan Village but we don't plan to hire a car - any trips that include this?

Thanks to anyone who can help! :D

welcome to EK, Alce. I think the water taxi you mention is from Kalkan Beach Park but it doesn't run of an evening and may not run as frequently in October. Best to check it out as soon as you arrive but you will find there are plenty of taxis. Im sure you accommodation with have a recommended number for you to call. We would walk from Kisla, but later on in the season it will get dark quite early and some parts of the road are not well lit and its a bit of a climb out of Kisla. I would pack a little maglite in you luggage in case you do prefer to walk once you've tried it.
Have a great stay :)

Yes a very big welcome to the Forum Alce, when we were there in the summer and visited Kalkan Beach Park, we enquired about the Turkish night that they run, and were told the water taxi ran until midnight, but not sure whether that was just for that day or not, but as K4E says it may well change in October, but there are always taxis around, no matter where you are, worth checking with Kalkan Beach Park though when you get there.

Hi Alce, welcome to the forum. I don't know about the water taxis but re the Bezirgan trip. You could hire a taxi, but not sure of the cost, or yoû could do the kaya trip with the boys from the kaya restaurant. We didn't get chance this year but I do believe that they take you to the village first, before taking you to their farm in the mountains for a day of fun and frolicks. I believe this is £20.00 per head.  :)
