Hi, has anyone else done their visa online in the UK? We are flying into Dalaman late on the 8th and I was thinking of doing this to save time? H

Buy visa online before going to Turkey.  The cost is 20 US dollars per person.  Please make sure to use the official website https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ There are many other sites offering this service but at a higher cost.  Print off your visa and hand in to passport control officers along with your passport when entering Turkey.  Currently you can still buy a visa on arrival but the cost to do it this way is £20 per person.  So best to do in advance.

If you buy your visas online and you have a biometric passport you don't have to present a paper copy on arrival in Turkey. It might be wise to have the hard copies just in case but it you receive a confirmation email you should be OK.
