We are selling our apartment in Kalkan, but wondered if it is normal for Estate agents to charge 3% to the buyer and the seller. When we bought our property, both buyer and seller were charged 1.5% each.
We have also been advised that both the buyer and seller pay 2% each for the purchase tax/stamp duty.
Has anyone sold recently and can advise if this is the case.
Many thanks.

Elee, I work in property in Kalkan. In answer to your question, yes 3% from the buyer and 3% from the seller are standard for all estate agents for re-sale properties.
The sales tax is most commonly shared between buyer and seller, but it's often a point of negotiation. There is no rule that says this has to be halved, and often either the buyer or seller will pay the whole 4%. Hope this helps!
