Looking at the great pictures of the Food Festival on various social networking sites, it looks as though the town beach is still not prepared for visitors...? Is that still the case..? Any sign of the tractor or sunbeds yet..?

The stones had been levelled out yesterday, but haven't been down today so can't comment on the sunbeds.

I believe from KTLN facebook page that they have now put some parasols on the beach.

Just seen the KTLN facebook page, and the beach is looking good, the parasols were on the beach stacked up ready to assemble, a tractor was levelling the stones and the beach looked very clean, it said photos from a few days ago, so would imagine it is almost ready to go. :) :) :)

Excellent report on KTLN with pictures...good to see a general clean up of the streets underway town beach tidy and Mozzie busters are in full swing by van and foot!! ;)

Thing is, will they get rid of those blasted dogs!

The 2 dogs that are in front of Vanilla on Kalamar road (opposite Asian Gate) give everyone who walks past a real going over. If they belong to the restaurant they should lock them round the back.

The dogs on the beach are relevant to the thread, as they are terrorising people on the beach!

The poster was referring to dogs along Kalamar Road...NOT Town Beach and was big enough to apologise so fair play to her/him

Just been for swim at the beach, and must conclude that the people who 'erected' the parasols must have been on the raki. Most of them are at a very jaunty angle. However it looks like work in progress as many of the concrete bases still have to be positioned.
