Had a great wee trip to the gorge yesterday. Headed out the back roads to take in a bit of mountain scenery and drive through some villages...what a treat and we didn't get lost!!!!
We did not fancy the gorge walk this time as it can be wee bit cold so after a browse round settled down on one of the floating platforms for a drink and did a bit of people watching.
Headed out the gorge the other side to try and find a place we ate at two years ago because it was absolutely fantastic .......tried to find it last year but to be honest the eating places along that road all look pretty much the same and they're all smiling and waving you in it's hard to resist but this year we were determined to find it .....I knew it was going to be difficult as we could not agree which side of the road it was on to start with.......as last year we did get lost and some said it was going into the gorge , some said it was coming out!
Well smart hubby clocked it first...coming out of the gorge on the right, a lot further on than we thought though......it's called Batmaz and is run by a lovely family. We had savoury pancakes, chicken kebabs, trout and then sweet pancakes to finish.....they were to die for. In between your fed with plates of salad, peppers, tea and finish of with fresh fruit from the garden. Whole meal for four 76 tl what a bargain. We were so stuffed that the evening meal was just cheese on toast!!!!
