Title: Weather at the moment??

Just wondering if anyone is in Kalkan at the moment and can enlighten me as to what the weather is like. I have checked several websites and temps see to vary hugely from mid 20's to late 30's. I am heading this Saturday for a couple of weeks. Would love to get an idea of how hot it is?? Thanks

This is a Weather Underground site at Dalaman - it seems to be pretty close, although Dalaman is 90 minutes away.

Weather Underground uses a network of Private weather monitoring stations, plus the national ones (like Airports, ports, etc) and displays the nearest. Hence it's real-time rather than a forecast.

It would be nice if someone in Kalkan could set one up themselves. Any takers?

Looks like we Kalkan lovers definitely need a Kalkan Weather Station!!

Post by: Korderekid on August 29, 2013, 11:54:10 AM: This morning the Belediye ( local council ) made an announcementnoverbthepublic address system advising residents not to go out unless they have to because of extreme heat and humidity. An hour ago it was 38 in the shade.

This weatheris set to last for the next 5 days and then will cool by a degree or so every day until it reaches the high 20's

It is extremely hot today and very uncomfortable. Saw three people of various ages faint in the market.

Should be a lovely temperature by October, if we manage to do our planned trip! :laugh:

Post by: jujujones on August 30, 2013, 09:28:34 PM: Good God that's hot!!! Yikes! A bit scared now.. Really hoping that it will have cooled a little by the time we arrive late on Sat night. Currently putting the finishing touches to my packing and removing most things with sleeves- Am wondering if i should bother with this packing lark at all and just bring a bikini and factor 50 sun cream as sounds like it might be too hot for anything else!!
