Hi All
Well where do I start just returned on Saturday from our first trip to Kalkan and I am hooked. What an amazing place.
Ten off us arrived for a two week break and we had a ball in our private Villa. We hired two boats on two separate days which were fantastic the food and the crew were just lovely. I would recommend a trip to anyone.
The food was to die for 7 different restaurants tried and could not fault any of them. The rooftop settings were breath taking.
All in all I would recommend Kalkan to anyone only been back two days and have sold it too my sister and her family and she is now booking a holiday to Kalkan as we speak. Keeping everything crossed we can return next year.
Too everyone who is venturing out to Kalkan have a fabulous time and I am soooo jealous

So glad you had a wonderful holiday, it's a wonderful place isn't it.
Word of warning, be careful who you tell. I rave on about Kalkan at every opportunity and so far, our neighbours parents have now been twice. Our next door but 1 neighbours are coming the week before us and my dental hygienist and her family are coming to Kalkan in September!
I'm going to have to keep my mouth shut soon or our secret place in paradise will not be a secret for much longer!! :D :)

I know but you just want to scream from the rooftops what a gorgeous place it really is. So jealous of my sister booking her first visit. :( x

I am definitely guilty of passing the bug on and infecting numerous people.....our best friends and their next door neighbours.....other friends who took friends who now own an apartment....my hairdresser, three work colleagues (and my husband has spread the bug at work too) .....and now my daughter who has taken two boyfriends (at different times!) and two friends is now visiting with three friends in three weeks time.....in fact I don't know of anyone who has been only once! :laugh:

Eight of us are going for the first time in 9 days. I have been so excited since I booked the villa last September, but have felt a bit nervous as it gets nearer incase I've built it up too much, but I think you have just reinforced what everyone on here has been saying, so I just need to sit back, relax and enjoy the build up! :) Well, I will when I've finished washing and ironing :(
If you can remember I'm sure we'd all love to know which restaurants you went to.
Hope you get the opportunity to go back, but in the mean time enjoy the memories!

Yes indeed, my sister, a fellow governor and several others have heard about Kalkan from us, but as you say Lizilu, we need to keep it a secret otherwise it might turn into a place we could do without. :-[ :-[ :-[ :-*

We're hooked too! We first visited last year on the recommendation of someone we know. We then recommended it to some other friends and they booked to go this June ... and invited us to go along with them so we thought it was rude not to! :) Before we'd even left our apartment (Kalkan Suites) we'd booked and paid a deposit to return next June.
When we got home, we recommended it to some more friends and they've now booked the apartment next to ours for the same time that we'll be there :)
