Title: Saklikent
Post by: Mrgrimsdale on July 09, 2013, 06:58:11 AM
Off to Saklikent Gorge today. Have heard about the freezing cold water. Is it really that cold? We've sweating like rhinos in this heat. Looking forward to eating food prepared by the nomads on the waterfront. Looks idyllic

It's a great day out for the slightly more adventurous types and really cool when you enter, a great respite from the heat of Kalkan.

For those with hire cars don't use the car parks which are sign posted first, carry on to the municipal car park right at the end of the road which leads down to the river. The first few car parks are private and you will almost certainly be overcharged for Parking and food.

My tip would be eat at the restaurants outside the gorge......they front on to the water and are much quieter and nicer than anything inside...... :) :)
