Went out yesterday on one of the new boats this season "Whisper Boat" with captain Yasin who is a very familiar figure in kalkan and I have to say was one of the most memorable relaxing days out we have had. The boat takes up to 8 people for day and night trips but is only for private bookings. I know the food on most of the boats is good but Yasin's food is exceptional all served as if you are in a lovely restaurant with top class cutlery, glasses and table setting with at least 4 courses for lunch starting with mezes of around 8 different types which were to die for, our second course was the most beautiful spaghetti served in individual big white dishes followd by stuffed aubergine and beautiful salad. Often he serves calamari and prawns which i am sure will be just as beautiful too. Sorry if I am banging on about the food but it was amazing and so different to be served individually instead of the normal serve yourself the service was 5 star all the way. Yasin makes for a wonderful relaxing day and nothing is too much trouble can highly recommend to all if you want something a little bit differenet from the normal boat trip, not that I am knocking any of the others because they are all nice too.

chrissy1 would you mind sharing how much it was to charter this boat?
Sounds lovely......have to say the help yourself thing is fine as long as you know everyone but can be a bit if a nightmare if you don't and there's someone around the table who isn't polite and greedy :P

Sounds like you had a fantastic day Chrissy1. I'd love to experience a day out on this boat and I too would be interested in the price if you don't mind sharing. :)

Hi Lizilu and K4E if I remeber rightly its 600Lira for 2-6 persons and 750Lira if its 6-8 persons but I have to say its worth every penny (Lira) we went one of the other boats and paid more than that, Oh and I forgot to mention you get a glass of champagne on arrival too.

Sounds really good. You should come to Kaş next time and have a boat trip to Kekova.

Oooh, sounds heavenly. I've yet to do a boat trip but would definitely be interested in joining with others to charter The Whisper. I am in Kalkan with a girlfriend from 26 August to 2nd September. If anyone is interested in joining us to make up the numbers, please PM me, and I would be happy to coordinate.
