Hi All
On countdown now only 15 days to go before our first visit to Kalkan with our children and best friends :D. I just wondered if someone could tell me about the visas needed to enter Turkey, someone has said no matter where you travel abroad you need a visa. Does the £10.00 at the airport pay for the visa or do we have to do something else online before we travel. Hope this makes sense just getting really giddy now and a bit anxious want everything to run smoothly.
Thanks

You can buy your tourist visa online or pay at the airport, when you enter Turkey.

Thanks Amber is that all we need to do. Is it easier doing it online rather than queing at the airport :)

I've never done it online but paying at the airport on arrival is fine - you don't need to do anything before you go. When you enter the airport, just follow the crowds to the visa queues. You just hand over a tenner and your visa sticker is stuck in your passport. Then you join a second queue and show your passport to get into the arrivals hall :)

Everytime we have queued it doesn't take long at all, in fact the whole process of collecting your baggage and paying for your visa is really quite smooth. Just make sure you have the correct money. Getting excited at the prospect of arriving there too, even though we will be arriving at 4am!!! who cares though we will be on our holidays! 30 DAYS TO GO!!!!
