Title: Hiring a car and travelling from Bodrum
Post by: Roxie on June 04, 2013, 02:31:48 PM
Hi all, We are flying to Bodrum in the middle of June.
We are then going to Ephesus by organised tour and perhaps a day on Kos, before going down the coast to arrive at our villa in Kalkan.
We will need to hire a car for about 4 days. We will not need it in Kalkan for the 2 weeks we are there. Can anyone suggest a way to hire a car in Bodrum and leave it in Kalkan? We have a suggestion by one company who will rent a car for a week and take it back off us in Kalkan for a fee of £30 and a hire fee of £210. The hire charge sounds expensive, but is this the only way to do it?
Thanks
Rx

Unless you want to do a bit of sightseeing on the way down you could always get a transfer.  I paid Brave Tours £130  last September for a car transfer from Bodrum airport to Kalkan.  The bus is 50 lira per person with a change in Fethiye.  Takes approx 5/6 hours.
