Hi this may sound like a daft question but is it te law in Turkey to drive with your headlights on all the time? Four of us are coming back to Kalkan on the 8th June and for the first time hiring a car. My partner is to do the driving and he seems to have heard about the headlights law and wants to make sure. Also is there any other driving laws that differ from here in the UK.
Many Thanks

I'm not sure that rule applies in Turkey, You need to have your wits about you when driving at night as bikes and farm vehicles, seem to view lights as an optional extras. Also, watch out for speed traps on the way from the airport, as they can be quite keen along the Dalaman - Fethiye stretch.

its zero tolerance for alcohol when the driver is carrying passengers and you must carry your licence (and I think also your passport...but I could be wrong) plus address details of where you are staying in Turkey at all times.
Horn sounding at every given opportunity is also compulsary ;D

....as is four people on a moped!!
-
It's common in Thailand for the moped to be the main family vehicle mum, dad two kids and the baby perched on the handle bars, makes you cringe.
-
Once saw some hens at Kas market, being transported in an open basket on the front of a moped!

I hope they enjoyed the ride ;D

They said the view was cracking ;D
