Title: hotels and airport shuttle
Post by: abip on April 15, 2013, 04:38:54 PM
Hi

I am going out to Kalkan for the second time this year.  Last year we stayed at Papermoon, but the management have changed so thought we would try somewhere else.  I am going with my nearly 17 year old daughter.  We want somewhere with a pool, friendly, not too big and poss B&B, maybe not so far out of town this time.   I am sure I read somewhere on here that one of the hotels offers free airport shuttle if you stay over 7 days, is this right? And which hotel is it?

Lots of questions, for a first post!  Really looking forward to trip.
:) :D

Hi abip

Yes you are right the Meldi Hotel offers airport transfers.
The hotel is comfortable, staff friendly with a nice pool and pool bar.

Hi. you could try the new Hotel just beside the Samira in town. They are opening in May.
It is the old block, to the side of the Samira. It will be run by Ergün, the old manager of Samira.
I know they have completely refurbished and have built a new pool. The Hotel is called Kalkan Dreams.
They probably offer airport shuttle, not sure but I think the Hotel sounds good. L

I would certainly recommend The Meldi. It is a basic, clean and friendly hotel

Transfer  is incluuded in the room price of stays over 7 nights,

There is a lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds to go around. Breakfast has a good selection and snacks are available during the day and meals at night if required.

The hotel is located about 5 minutes from the taxi rank in town.

Pasha has a nice friendly feel to it and the Asiyan Hotel - both not very far out of town. You would have to check with them direct about airport transfers.
