The old town is really the main original bit of Kalkan with the post office etc in it. It is very central for everywhere such as the beach, harvout and restaurants and has small narrow paths through it with lots of old houses.  A great area to stay.  :)

The other areas of Kalkan such as Ortalaan, Kiziltas, Komerluk etc tend to be more residential, lots of villas, apartments, hotels etc with a few restaurants and shops and small supermarkets.  Also , if you don't know, Kalkan is built on a hillside with the old town around the harbour at the bottom of the hillside.

Don't forget shopping.....the old town is full of lovely little shops selling jewellery, clothes, nik naks etc.......not to mention leather handbags, watches, sunglasses......very good copies of fakes, depending on your point of view!
