Title: Slow Cookers
Post by: Wendy on March 09, 2013, 08:01:01 PM
How much are slow cookers to buy out in Kalkan? I am thinking about bringing one out with us but if they aren't much to buy I would get one out there.

Wendy, this reply won't be much use but if you use a heavy cast iron pot on the lower shelf of an oven on its lowest setting, you can slow cook almost any meat until it falls off the bone. I don't rate electric slow cookers personally although I'm biased because I cook quite a bit.

We use a slow Cooker all the time in the UK and we do a lot of cooking. Especially good for bbq ribs and slow cooked lamb but wouldn't use it in Turkey unless your there during the winter. Sorry can't advise about the price though

I also took one out because I hadn't seen any and didn't want to spend time tracking one down when on holiday.
