Say your lucky enough to be having a £1/2M villa built and you can, to an extent, include your own touches inside and out what would you incorporate in your luxury Villa ????
A few things I would include...
* outside (enclosed shower/WC) pool area.
* outside bar with fridge
* heated pool
* large sink with hot & cold water next to BBQ
* ceiling speakers through out
* hard wired wifi
* games room.....etc etc
I look forward to hearing what people want...????
-
Great post - all of the above plus:
log burner for the winter
outside pizza oven
own staff
own sea frontage (which I believe is hard to obtain in Turkey)?
own motor cruiser
uninterruped view
outdoor music system
Must buy some lottery tickets for tomorrow evening..... :)
-
* Cinema Room with luxury seats and superscreen
* Large Rooftop jaccuzi
;)

An Infiniti pool would be a must for those views, to get the best views the villa would have to be up the top of the hill, so a lift from the drive to the villa would be on the list, of course if we are talking winning the euro, a cable car from the harbour up to the villa will do nicely

All of the above? in Kalkan? It would be nice to believe you could do all of this for half a mill. or am I reading it wrong? is that 1 stroke 2 million?
-
I like to aim high - so I read it as £1 - £2 million!

An oudoor log burner and seating/eating area that was undercover with a hot tub at the side, all with a great view for early & late season.
-
All very interesting, please keep them coming.......
I think floor to ceiling by-fold doors are a must, so much better than the normal 'patio doors' ?
underfloor heating ?
Well thought out, outside lighting ?
£500,000 is the approx budget 8)

A gym - not for me but hubby would like one.
Are you the lucky person having a bespoke house built Onelove?

Keep in mind that the more glass, the higher the cost of AC / heating ... unless you like living in an oven. There are several villas in Kalkan now with underfloor heating.
We had our villa custom built but I tried to avoid all those mechanical / electrical things that can break and for which there is no repair service near here. One good example is an automatic garage door. Ours worked for 2-3 years, then needed repair. The repairman had to come from Istanbul. It cost us around $1000, including airfare. He didn't do a good job. One month later the motor literally ground itself up into tiny silver pieces. The company declined all responsibility. We had a very hard time finding a kit to convert the door to manual. Had to order parts from abroad, have them altered and refitted ... was a nightmare. For the same reason we opted not to have an electric car gate. It's a nuisance to have to get out of the car to open the gate but better than having to bring a repairman from Istanbul.
Build what can be serviced nearby. Be sure to include a large water reservoir and a generator. These have been essential to our comfort here.
Our outside pool shower has hot water too. This is great even in summer. We also have speakers wired throughout the house but don't use them more than twice / year for a party.
How about a sauna? Game room?
Our neighbors have what is probably the most beautiful garden bar in Kalkan. Next to pool, thatched roof, fully equipped with frig, sink, lights, music, different size tables, palm trees - literally everything. Also outdoor BBQ that they don't use. More convenient to use the gas ones and keep a charcoal one on hand for special cooking. Gas ones light immediately, ready immediately, no fuss, no mess.
Hard-wired ethernet ... as long as people can use their computers near the pool and throughout the house, they're happy. Don't need a hard-wired system to achieve this.

Thanks for all your thoughts. I agree, not to much glass, nightmare in my opinion.
I would love to see a photo of that bar area if possible please ?
Gas BBQ is a must. No deep end in the pool. CCTV.
Please keep your thoughts coming. 8).
Sorry nearly forgot.....no, but I know a man who is :-X

Further to my earlier post re a cable car from the harbour up to a villa in the low mountain area, I have found out it would cost approx 20 million us dollars for a twin gondola unit. I was about to give up on this on my wish list, but then again the euro rollover tonight is 100 million euro +, so maybe I can still include, I have also decided that having two petrol tankers, one full of efes and the other full of angora for the good wife would also be a nice to have
