Title: B & B AT GATWICK
Post by: Charlie on January 17, 2008, 05:31:15 PM
Hi wondering if anyone can recommend a B & B close to Gatwick airport.  We need to stay an overnight on our way home from Turkey before getting a connecting flight the following day.  Many thanks

Hi Charlie,
some friends of mine stayed at the Holiday Inn Xpress in Crawley which is about 10 minute drive from Gatwick. They said it was fine, clean and comfortable and the rate included continental style breakfast. I think they paid about £80. This was the room rate not per person. The Telephone number is 0870 400 9670. Other than that I can''t recommend any B&B''s because we live so close to Gatwick I have never used one, however I do know there are a lot of B&B''s in Horley which is a town very close to Gatwick.
Hope this helps.
Lorretta.

may be a little bit more than a b&b but what about the Gatwick Hilton..we have stayed there quite reasonably with a deal that included free carparking for 15 days!!  if your only overnight and your still on holiday it might be worth a look. As you come out of south terminal it''s across a covered bridge straight into reception..no messing about!!! ;)

Many thanks for that Loretta.  Found a great site listing lots of Guest houses in Horley and think I''ve found a suitable one.  It''s good to hear from you that Horley is close to Gatwick!
Cheers blue lizard but there are 6 of us and it does work out quite expensive at the Hilton (no need for car park, flying in and out!).
Again many thanks to both of you. Charlie

I can highly recommend Jordans guest house. We have stayed there a couple of times and found it quiet and full of character. The delicious breakfast will set you up for the day.

If you are flying from the North terminal then Premier Inn is quite cheap and you can walk to it in a few minutes (it does a shuttle bus for £2 but it only takes about 30 seconds! Directions for walking are on the Trip Advisor site). The food and drink are normalish pub prices.

Thank you all very much.  We''ve got sorted.  Got a large family room so worked out at a great price.  Hope it''s ok, I''ll let you know! Cheers

Hi Charlie,
Glad to hear you have sorted that. Where abouts are you staying? If it''s any good I could reccommend to future guests if they have a night flight etc.

Hi Loretta as I haven''t stayed there yet I''d rather not name and recommend it just incase it''s not great!  I will of course let you all know how I got on after our stay and if it''s good I''ll gladly share my experience with you.
