Title: Help wanted finding wedding coordinator of not legally binding ceremony!
Post by: Ania on September 02, 2012, 07:50:59 AM
Hello!

My fiancĂ© and I are planning a wedding for September 18th of this year.  We are an international couple and need to sign the marriage paperwork in one of our countries (USA and Ukraine), but due to visa issues for our families, could not plan a wedding in either of these countries and decided on Turkey.

At first, we hoped to get married in a Russian orthodox church in Antalya, but were rejected by the only church because of their policy for only marrying locals. This is the only church (that we are aware of) of our religion in the country.

Now, we are looking for a not legally binding, non-religious ceremony coordinator. Would anyone happen to know anybody that could stand in?

Any of your ideas and advice would be appreciated!!!

Thank you!

Ania

All I can suggest is the excellent 'Guide to getting married in Kalkan' on KTLN.

Hi Ania

I wrote a ceremony for my Husband and I in 2007, and we had what I would call a 'Humanist' Wedding. 'google' the phrase there's alot of info /sites etc on Humanist Weddings that you can get ideas from. It may be an option for you!

My husband and I arrive in Kalkan on the 17th Sept and I'm more than happy to help you create the day, atmosphere, reverence, loving space in which you can both be yourselves and speak your heart's truths to each other.

If you would like to chat, email me, I have a website that you can look at to get a feel of how I work and how I can maybe help you.

All The Best

PS : I have conducted blessings and a couple of naming ceremonies for children, I've not had the privilige of conducting a wedding as yet, but would love too.....  :)
