First timer !!!

 Hi everyone,

 Although we have been to Turkey 5 times, this is our first time in Kalkan and I have to say, after reading the forum etc over the last few weeks...we cannot wait!!!  It looks absolutely beautiful and the restaurants sound amazing! I really feel I am hooked already and haven`t even been yet!!
 
 Staying at the Kalkan Apartments which seem to be near the Palm Beach Club? It would be great if anyone can give me some more info on the apartments and location?

 Arriving July 16th for 2 weeksand counting the days already!!

 My mistake. On further checking, it is called the Olympos Apartments.

Hi Paulgee, welcome to the forum. You will love Kalkan and you are right to be excited...I'm giddy for you, knowing all the great things you will experience for the first time
We've stayed at Olympus and they are small but comfortable apartments with spectacular views from the front balconies. The thread from the search facility is slightly outdated, as you need to go up the steep hill to the new service road as you can't get onto the D400 (Kas Road) here now, if you want to walk into town. This service road hasn't had its concrete surface added yet so its a bit uneven in places but we've walked it during the daytime no problem - still about 10 mins, with care. Coming back of a night you will need a torch if you plan to walk.
Palm Beach club is indeed below you at Olympus accessed by "THE STEPS". You need to go out of the gate at the rear of the pool, turn left and the steps start just a little further down on the right. There are over 100 of them and they will take you past some amazing villas all the way down to Palm Beach.....of course coming back up is a killer

Hi Skunk, I'm doing much better thanks - heels for the first time today. In a small amount of pain, but its good pain Really fed up of people telling me how small I am without my six inchers....good to get back to my "proper" height today.
I love those steps down to Palm Beach and I love the feeling when you reach the top coming back - there should be a medal for it
