Just a suggestion but Kindles are designed so that they can be read outside in sunlight. You don't get this with ipad, iphone etc  ;)

I had a sony e-reader and was restricted to books from Waterstones and WH Smiths. I now use my iPad and have access to Amazon (Kindle app), iBook and Waterstones. I can also read on my iPhone if dont want to take iPad. Amazon have a greater selection at present

My husband has a Kindle and I have a Sony (bought on ebay) - we are both delighted with them.  I've been told by a local library about a website called Calibre where you can alter the download format and store the books.  As the library doesn't support Kindles we're going try this.  I borrow library ebooks free for 3 weeks with the Sony.  Interesting how you can share an Amazon account for Kindles.

Read recently someone's ereader had developed black spots in the heat; has anyone come across this in the Turkish heat please?
