Roadworks
« on: May 03, 2012, 07:23:50 AM »
Does anyone have any information about when/if the roadworks on the Kisla Caddesi (parallel to the D400)  will be complete.  At present there are 3 rockbreakers just above Kalkan which are pretty noisy, they have worked their way along from Komerluk and a massive retaining wall has been started at the Komerluk end, presumably to shore up the D400.  Hopefully once they reach the end of the Kisla Caddesi the rock breakers will stop but if this is a safety issue maybe the wall building will continue?  At least that is not as noisy.  Guess this is exempt from the noise deadline - just would be nice to know what to expect now the season has started.

I was told this is work identified as urgent following the recent survey conducted after the landslide.Guess we have no choice but to put up with it and hope it will be finished soon.
