New restaurant Escudo - big thumbs up!

We went to Escudo twice on our recent week long visit to Kalkan. We had also got to know Ismail when he was at Bread & more last year. He amazingly enough recognised us over a year later! As has been said Escudo is one of the smaller restuarants so it will be worth booking. The wine list is very good and the food excellent. It's good to see that the family have got off to such a good start amongst so many established rivals. Ismail also recommended that we try gourmet one night, and took the trouble to introduce us to Joseph who ensured that we got a great seat on their terrace from which we were able to wave to the guys at Escudo.

A second visit to Escudo, and if anything, more impressed than the first visit!!!
The guys are soooo attentive, bringing the kids 'kiddie' versions of our Mojitos- which incidentally are probably the best in Kalkan....
Food was truly exceptional, with the sea bass on a bed of spinach and wine sauce faultless (I could get all Michael Winner at this stage but will spare you all!!!!!)  Great wine list to boot- add this to your 'must visit' whilst in Kalkan....
Terrace is small and intimate, so booking advisable, particularly if your party is larger than average.
