Just checked our Thomas Cook flights for May. Gone up by about £80 in total since we booked for both of us. Outbound gone up - return gone down. I think people are so in love with Kalkan they just don't want to leave LOL.

We were in exactly the same position as you, accommodation booked for August, only flights needed. Annoyingly for us Thomas Cook have stopped their flights from our local airport so I have been scouting round the flight sites for a couple of months, prices just seem to be rising. I took the plunge last weekend and booked Jet2 flights from Leeds (we live in Southampton), as they seemed reasonable and I just couldn't face the flight times and a packed Gatwick. Our in laws live 10 mins from Leeds airport so we're going to combine the holiday with a trip to see the family.

BTW we have paid around £1200 for 4 of us, inc meals, 2 bags and a movie for the kids.

It's very stressful searching around for flights and seeing them rise week to week.

We're happy now :-)

We too have eventually booked from Leeds/Bradford (five of us £1,500). Slightly more expensive pp. than last year and we were looking for early morning flights rather than late afternoon - from Manchester. But on the plus side LBA is only a 45 min. drive away.
