Christmas flights
« on: November 07, 2011, 09:50:46 PM »
I know i may have left it late this year but i'm struggling for a flight from the midlands to Dalaman or Antalya this festive season. Anyone have any suggestions of who i could try as most airlines don't appear to have any flights that i can find.

We are having to fly into Anatalya, you may have to consider flying via instanbul, with Turkish airlines, but that may mean long waits or you could opt to stay over in Istanbul

If going this route you can pass the time between flights at Istanbul by getting a taxi (approx 12-15tl) to the nearby Viaport Mall which is a new shopping mall. There are lots of places to eat there and enough shops to keep you occupied, there's even a C&A.

Hello there! Try www.skyscanner.net for a December search - shows a few flights from your part of the country! Some via İstanbul - look at Turkish airlines too (still reasonable prices if you're happy to go from Manchester). İ'm flying from London via İstanbul but we're having a holiday before heading down to Kalkan. Does this mean we could be having a 'cigar on the harbour' moment over the festive season?! Hope so! ;-))

Many thanks for all the detailed information from everyone, i was hopeing Onur were running Christmas special flights  as they did a few years ago but i couldn't find anything.
I,ve have managed to book a TC EM to Antalya but paid through the nose for it.
Is there less flights this year or is it just because i left it so late?
Posh i'll be there for that cigar moment as always, wouldn't miss it.
