X Factor v Strictly
« on: October 17, 2011, 07:07:52 PM »
Well its that time of year again.....you know when these programmes start the live shows we're on countdown to Christmas :o :o
We're X Factor fans in our house - sorry Brucie - and we're just loving the reinvented Gary Barlow.
Marcus or Craig to win...slightly biased ;) Janet if not.
Also watching X Factor USA - the Sky Plus is about to spontaniously combust :)

Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

LOL definitely Strictly for me :) love watching the glitz and glamour and admiring the way the woman can actually dance in heels where I can't even walk in a straight line wearing them ??? I'd pay a lot of money to watch them shimmy past The Merkez on a hot sunny July day ;D
I'm a strange tv fan though as have never watched X factor, Big Brother, The Apprentice, Dragons Den et al ???
Give me repeats of "A place in the Sun"  "Escape to the Country" "A place by the Sea" and I'm in TV heaven, oh and also enjoy The Dog Whisperer and It's Me or the Dog ::) ::) ::)

Strictly for us, although Bruce gets on our nerves sometimes with his naff jokes!! Love the glitz and glamour of it. Are any of you enjoying Downton Abbey? Thats another one of our favourites.

LOOOOOVE Downton Abbey! We have to do a lot of channel hopping in this house, between Strictly and X Factor; I think I've solved the problem by having our 9 year old granddaughter stay over on Saturdays - she's an X Factor fan so we HAVE to watch it!!!!

Misty, for once we are thinking along the same lines. These programmes have no appeal to me at all. They are not genuine and they set out to be controversial. Remember John Sergeant and Anne Widdecombe, Jedward etc.. And all that shrieking!!!

I would rather eat my own ear wax than watch either programme. >:(
Downton Abbey very good though, but don't tell anyone who knows me.....
I woke up last night to find the ghost of Gloria Gaynor standing at the foot of my bed. At first I was afraid.......then I was petrified

I would rather have all my teeth extracted without sedation, and go to a Port Vale game than watch any of this type of programme, as Misty correctly states, Crap.  >:(
 ;)
I'll get me coat!! ;-).....Bang on!
