has Kalkan got a postman

I NEVER get mail delievered to my house, if i go to the post office they just hand me my mail which could of been sat there for days, is there a postman? we used to have one and he actually was often seen walking the streets of Kalkan. The council has put street signs up everywhere with the road names on so why doesn't the postman seem able to deliever our post?
I had a calender posted to me for christmas a couple of years ago it was sent in the december and i got it from the post office myself the following september! Some of our post is important and has also been left in the local pub, on top of walls and pinned to a tree. Maybe it was hard to find villas a few years back but what is the problem now? My birthday has been and gone but the only card i had was the one i went and got myself, the others have vanished!

does anyone know the answer? am sick of what you would call witty comments, cut the crap have we got a postman or not? i still have no water, thats 2 days now so what is the score!! crass comments keep to yourself i am trying to find an answer to what i call a valid problem. negetive or not  i still have no water and still have no post!

Bubbles was only joking - as I think we all thought you were about getting yourself a card. No need to bite her head off - some of us would love to be in Kalkan, postie or no postie.

If no one in Kalkan can tell you, Why do you think you will get a answer on this forum
Get yourself down to the offices concerned with your problems and give them HELL until you get a answer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Kalkan has a postman.... fact......how do I know this.....because we had his black and white cat at the villa for the last two weeks

The postman we had in the old town retired a couple of years ago.To start with someone else brought our post but we have not had a delivery for at least a year.We too go to the post office and try and retrieve our post every now and again.I have been unable to find out if deliveries will be reinstated soon.
I try to get as little post sent here as possible.My family have given up sending christmas/birthday cards.

If you are resident here , try to get a post box at the PTT

If you do, receiving mail is not usually a problem

But for a postman to cover the whole of Kalkan would be a bit of a tall order

As Amber said, until a couple of years ago some people in the old part of center town had mail delivered irregularly.  Since that man retired, no more mail delivery to private residences.  We have a PO box and receive packages and mail there.
