Transfers from Antalya?
« on: August 07, 2011, 06:59:57 PM »
Arriving at Atalya with my wife on Tues 16th 13.45 fro Bristol. Does anyone have any recommended way to transfer to Kalkan. I see most people fly via Dalaman but we had to change due to Holidays4u collapsing.  Are the coaches/minibuses too long a journey - should we fork out for a cab? Anyone's experince would be welcome. Cheers

Hi Andy sorry can't help out with public transport but the cost of a private return is approx £170.  If you are thinking of hiring a car while in Kalkan it may be worth checking out with the local companies about picking up a car at the airport.  The cost is around £23/£25 per day, some charge delivery to the airport others don't.  If you are on one week holiday it mightn't cost anymore than the transfer and at least you'd have a car while in Kalkan to explore around the area.  Worth trying Brave Tours (who have an office in Antalya), Adda, Central - they all do delivery to the airport. Lovely scenic drive from Antalya either over the mountain road or along the coast. Have a great holiday!

The Bati Antalya bus takes 5 hours and you'd need to get from the airport to the bus station first. Likelihood is you wouldn't get to Kalkan until about 8 or 9pm. As Charlie says depends how long you are staying and how much of a budget you are on.
