Travel Kettle hand luggage
« on: June 09, 2011, 03:45:49 PM »
Arriving Saturday with Thomson Airways, getting conflicting advice as to if you can carry a Travel Kettle as part of hand luggage, I don't mean for weight reasons as I know I only get the normal 5kg it would just be easier to pack with my hand luggage.
Thanks

I took an electric hand mixer through from Manchester to Dalaman last year.  I was stopped and they asked me why I had it, but when I explained they just let me through with it.

I don't know for definate about a kettle but I would imagine that it would be covered by the same rules as a food mixer.
Currently have a duplex apartment in Kiziltas which we visit as often as we can.

I've managed to get my precious hair straighteners in my hand luggage with no problem. I think official advice is to pack electrical items in hold luggage so suppose it probably depends on who finds them as to whether there will be a problem or not ???
