New cafe: White Table - excellent lunch

We tried this new cafe/bistro for lunch today. It's just opposite Salt and Pepper and advertises itself as serving "boutique food". It was very good indeed. We had chicken burgers (their mains focus on burgers, salads & pasta), but you can forget the dreaded UK burger joints - these were homemade and very tasty. The premises have been very elegantly decorated and the food was very well-presented. The owner is obviously trying to offer something other than the "same old, same old" of many Kalkan eating places.
We will go back for an evening meal before we leave.

I totally agree. Lovely food and service at reasonable prices for the harbour. It got fairly busy yesterday afternoon and it was interesting to see the Salt & Pepper empty at the time. It's got to be good to have a bit of competition on the price front.

Can't wait to try that one when we're back. It was being finished when we were there in April but the decor looked lovely and the menu very tempting.

Ate at White Table last as we just wanted a light meal. This is not your usual burger joint, as the owner has tried to come up with something a bit different. Freshly made and marinaded meat (also a veggie option).
He also serves an exeptional Rose wine.
Going back soon!

The thought of an exceptional Rose means it's on the "to visit list", looking forward to some indepth research.

We visited White Table last week for dinner.  The owner is very helpful (why didn't I get his name?) and agree the Rose wine is great. 

The place has been decorated beautifully and the burgers were great, although not what I would have expected in a Turkish place.  The starters and vegetable dishes were good but I would have liked to have seen some more "Turkish" style food.  We did enjoy it though and would return.

This has become one of my firm fav's.
The salads, especially the chrunchy beetroot, are excellent.
Very understated chic.
Very good prices.
Very good food all round.
Everyone should visit, but slowly, as I still want my seat!
