Weather from 7th May
« on: April 18, 2011, 11:25:46 AM »
HI All,

Myself and my boyfriend are flying out and staying in Kalkan on 7th May for 1 week. What type of weather can we expect?? We came the first week in June last year at it was boiling :-) Hoping that May is still warm enough to lay out and sunbathe?!

thanks
x

I think that you will find it a bit cooler than last June, or any June, come to that.
Generally, at the beginning of May, it is around 25c +/- 1 or 2 degrees. Of course that is shade temperatures and in the sun it will be higher. Would warn you though that sometimes there is some rain in early May, but it rarely lasts for more than half a day and soon dries up.
We are going out 29 April so might see you there.

We are also coming out on the 7th and can't wait. I've been checking accuweather to see what we can expect. Unfortunately it keeps saying that it is raining and about 18 degrees. Is this correct as I am desperate for some sun and don't fancy packing the brolly  :)

I would def. not rely on Accuweather, I think they go to bed and dream up the forecasts!  There are plenty of other weather sites to visit on the net.   During my last visit to Kalkan in Sept, every days prediction was wrong, it was very hot (lovely!) and not a sight of a raincloud!  Inaccuweather is more like it >:D >:D

Excellent! Thanks for your replies! Anything in the 20's with sun is fine and if we get a bit of rain them we can just head to a bar for some drinks until it dries up!
Sooo excited now!
