Darling Buds of May
« on: November 14, 2010, 09:03:15 PM »
Can anyone tell me if May is a good time for a couple of weeks of R&R in Kalkan please?
Ideally we'd like to be able to do a couple of trips but apart from that it's just visiting favourite bars and restaurants . . .
What does everyone think? I'm thinking about the middle two - NOT half term!

Baggy - middle of May is a fantastic time to visit Kalkan!  lovely weather (usually) and the boats not long in the water...restaurants all open, or just about to, everyone relaxed and rejuvenated and ready for the new season.  We swim in the sea then...fair enough to describe it as refreshing, but still warmer than the sea ever is here!  Go for it - you'll love Kalkan in mid May....maybe see you at the Yali!!

Hi, Go for it!! Great time and you can tell us about all the new bars and restaurants.
Love the weather at this time and the boats are just in the water!
Hope to be there but only for the week.

We (6 of us) are booked on the 8th May, hoping the weather will be good for us, staying at a villa in the old town so not far to the eateries!
I woke up last night to find the ghost of Gloria Gaynor standing at the foot of my bed. At first I was afraid.......then I was petrified
