Some of you might remember we had a bit of fun on here during the world cup with Paul the Octopus that predicted games....It is Sad News that Paul the Octopus has passed away during his sleep in a German zoo last night :'( :'( :'( .............................He didn't predict that!!

Sad news.... glad he predicted Pompey will go on to win the Premier League, FA Cup, Carling Cup and Champions League before he croaked it

Noooooo!!!! that was a lunatic...I can't help feeling Paul would be with us today had Germany won the World Cup(conspiracy theory)...i hope his body is returned to Weymouth and the Germans don't make him into Octosausage............R.I.P Paul :'(

I was gutted to hear about Paul the Octopus

He was quite old (for an octopus) when he went on a free transfer to Germany from Weymouth, so perhaps it was inevitable...although BL could be right..there could be something fishy about his demise

I have it on good authority that Paul the octopus is alive and well. Due to the prophecies which he became famous for and threats made against against him, he was taken into protective custody and has now been given a new identity.

My grandad, God rest his sould, would have had a great affinity for Paul. He also died in a tank in Germany.

Paul the Octopus thread is posted in "General Discussion" where everything is a mixed kettle of fish.....and anyway Paul has some relations off the coast Of kalkan and spent happy holidays getting legless there
