Oh dear, are we going to be construed as "Brits Abroad" again.    Why not take this day to give one's liver a rest?
I love a drink as much as everybody else, BUT PLEASE, one day without, it is hardly the end of the world.   Can we not follow the example of the local populace - after all, everything in moderation :-\

Re the last post, yes when it is your only holiday all year and you have saved up for it you would be a bit peeved especially if its the last night of your holiday. Nothing to do with being Brits abroad.

I think we should ban the term “Brits abroad” from the Forum.  We happen to be a nation located in northern Europe and by definition its likely more visitors will be Brits than say Italians, French, Spanish etc who obviously enjoy their own Mediterranean areas.
The term is meant to be insulting but I am sure that Brits add greatly to the vast majority of the places visited.

Can't see why people take offence at being "Brits Abroad"..if you live in Britain..hold a British passport and you leave our shores ...then you are a Brit abroad....simples! ;)

LOL Mr BL.  I completely agree with you but if you refer to previous posts the term is being used to describe Brits in a derogatory way.
