Holiday visa
« on: September 07, 2010, 08:32:55 AM »
Hi Everyone
Coming to Kalkan, Turkey for the second time. Simple question...I was a bit fed up of having to wait at the airport on arrival to fill in what I think was the holiday visa form. I there anyway I can obtain or download this form so I can fill it in ready and just pass it over with my £10 or whatever it costs now???
Thanks

P.S. Sorry if I have posted in wrong section...Mods feel free to move.

Hi Sabenhaz and welcome to the forum. I don't remember ever having to fill in a form for a visa. Always just handed over a tenner and had the visa stuck on my passport

If you are British you don't fill in a form, you just hand over your £10. If you are a differnt nationality I don't know.

A couple of times that we visited last year we had to fill in a form with our home address and details where we were staying in Turkey, but that was to do with swine flu and we haven't had to fill in any forms this year.   :D   :D
Currently have a duplex apartment in Kiziltas which we visit as often as we can.

Turkeyfan is right the forms last year were to prevent Swine Flu - all the questins were about if you'd had a high temperature, or a close relative who'd had swine flu - then we all had to walk by the heat seeking cameras - god help anyone having a hot flush ;D ;D . We also had to fill them in when we went over to Meis.
The forms stopped about 5 years ago for the tourist visa...maybe even longer..?
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)
