Another scam - beware of rental requests from a Micheal Paul

Just had another request from a potential renter - immediately I thought of DAvid Francis scam - but I did reply and I got the following - I guess David Francis has morphed into Micheal Paul -

•     Thanks a lot for your mail and your understanding ,Well i am  very happy to read from you back as regard the property would be available from  Sunday 24 October until Sunday 31st October 2010,I would like to let you know  that i am okay with the asking price £650
     
        Concerning the payment arrangement,i am assuring you that  won't be a problem as our company associate in state would be paying for our  holiday and i had already spoke with him about holiday and he said that won't  be any problem that we should let him know when everything is set so that he  can issue you the payment.
     
        The payment that you would be receiving will be in excess  payment our BTA fee will be include with the rental fee basic on trust, As soon  as you get the Euro or UK Check you will get it deposited in your bank for  clearance and after the money has been cleared into your account,you would  deduct the rental payment and send the remaining balance,which would be for our  flight expenses,BTA (Basic Travelers Allowance) and some other necessary  paperwork's. The balance should be sent to our traveling agent whose  information i would give to you as soon as you receive payment.

How untrusting of you Felicity! Their house in Calafornia looks really nice on Google earth. I'm sure you would be perfectly safe sending them some money back!
Someone however must fall for it or they wouldn't keep sending the emails.

Bet this originates from Nigeria as most scams tend to.......just as well most of them are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.... we get loads of these each day trying all sorts of scams
