...after this appeared on news bulletins yesterday, the lady in question has come forward to say she's an animal lover but she's been a bit stressed lately....oh and also, it was just a joke and she's not sure why there's been such a fuss :o :o
A joke? One neither the cat nor her owners found funny! Someone should lock her in a wheelie bin for 15 hours...lets see if that'll cure her stress >:( >:(
I hope the RSPCA are able to prosecute..but I doubt it :(
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Why would they prosecute for this, if they couldn't even get the CPS to wake up if she punched a granny in the face and binned her.  Not condoning her actions in any way, but let's get some perspective here.

That said, she might be fined for having put the cat in the wrong bin (plastics only in this one, love!)

Understand your perspective, Nick. I just hate cruelty..full stop! Animals, humans...and LFC fans in particular :-*

This "lady" should be put in a room with cat lovers. we could all have a word with her.
That poor, poor, kitty was in that bin for 15 hours in searing heat and was covered in it's own mess when rescued.  :'(
I don't think Lola saw the "joke" at all.
Of course we all realise that it is an animal and worse things happen to humans, but what gets me steaming, is the fact that an animal can't rationalise what's happening to it.
The sad thing, too, is on the images, the little cat approached this woman with her tail up in a friendly greeting and then that happened.
I hope she's more wary of strangers now.
Shine on, you crazy diamond.

Thıs ıs a horrıble thıng to happen, but I am sure not an ısolated ıncıdent.
In Kalkan I know of at least 3 lıtters of kıttens that have been placed ın plastıc bags and thrown away wıth the rubbısh.
We were able to save some and hand rear them but not all I am afraıd.
If one good thıng can come out of thıs, let ıt remınd us all that anımals should be treated wıth care and compassıon.
