Cafe Leon

Lovely, chilled cafe, bar.  Wonderful home cooked breakfasts, or lunch.  The fishcakes are a must!  Really friendly family owners who make a spot on Iced Coffee and play perfect music!

We did not get to try it this time, but our friend Joe, raved about their fishcakes too. He liked the friendly welcome they gave him. One to try for next time.

Hi All, We tried Cafe Leon this time too (and the Tuna Fishcakes - Yum!). The owners are really helpful and gave us loads of info on where to find things for our new apartment, even ringing up shops for us to ask about delivery (the hubby, "Levent" is Turkish so was able to get much more information than we could ever have got for ourselves). They also very kindly lent us thier laptop to access websites etc. Genuinely could not have been more helpful. In addition to the highly respected fishcakes, do also try the milkshakes and smoothies. Aparently they are also open in the evening for a more chilled time compared to some bars. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to enjoy this during our last trip but spoke to many who did and loved it so will definately go there for evening drinks next time. Of note, prices were also very reasonable so a bit of an all-round winner for us!

Down the hill in front of Moonlight and turn left before Ottoman House
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

I love it there too.  Had my last meal and glass of wine as a single woman there! xx
Currently have a duplex apartment in Kiziltas which we visit as often as we can.

Just had a lovely morning there chilling with friends, I don't know how but we managed to fit in Breakfast, elevenses and lunch, indulgent I know but hey, everything was fantastic and can highly recommend the bacon and egg sandwich, the banofi cheese cake and the tuna fish cakes!!!!!!!!!! and for those of you that think this is rather gluttonous it was only on average one meal an hour. ;)

Just got back from another week in Kalkan. Spent a lot of time at Cafe Leon. Such a lovely family...friendly, welcoming, relaxed. Very good value and delicious food.
A real pleasure to spend time there - can't wait to return!

Concur with everything that's been written above, a really great addition to the kalkan bar and cafe landscape.

We popped in a few times in the evening, and twice for food during the daytime.  I just found it really honest value, which is hard to find in kalkan sometimes, and the proprieters were really nice, laid back, with no attitude.

I love the turkish lady who works there (one of the owner's mother?) she was a real laugh.

A brilliant concept and cafe, especially for those who want a bacon sarny or just a snack.
Levant's dad is dedicated to maintaining the municipal garden which is adjacent to the Cafe.
Levants mother is a superb cook.
Will visit again and again!!!!

We (family of four) have just been down to Cafe Leon for an evening meal and whilst most of the comments on this thread have been about the daytime menu, this small establishment is well worth a visit in the evening. The meze was the best i have tasted and the main course was basic but delicious. Dessert was another traditional Turkish offering which was superb. The host , Levant, mentioned that they are planning to open a terrace next year and it will certainly be one of the first restaurants we visit in Kalkan when we next visit.

Hello all....

I agree with the comments - we ended up at Cafe Leon most nights for a coffee and cake (great selection of homemade cheesecake and cakes) - aka cake and smoothie for my daughter and a couple of g and t's for moi!

Free use of laptops which is perfect if you dont want to carry your notebook around...
