You Must Visit TLOS if you like Roman Architecture
« on: July 13, 2010, 01:04:42 PM »
We drove up here after visiting Saklikent Gorge. The wife asked me what was there but I could not remember. Was staggered on arrival. In car park a bloke came up to us for 5 TL. We asked what for and he said to visit all three ruins.

We paid up and you simply must see the stadium and Amphitheatre. The views form the top of the Castle are fantastic. To sit where people sat 2 thousand years ago is amazing. if it was English Heritage it would cost £40 each to get in.

Cheap local cafes for drinks too.

If hard work was such a wonderful thing, surely the rich would have kept it for themselves?

Totally agree - it is amazing! -  But dont forget, with English Heritage you do get the rude service, extortionate cafe/restaurant prices and snooty staff generally thrown in for your £40!! >:D
