If it is what I think it is - it does not apply to Turkey!   Do not forget you are travelling outside the EU - you MUST take out independant travel insurance - VERY IMPORTANT!

As well as not being valid in Turkey it has also been replaced by the European Health Insurance Card

...its important to remember that the EHIC has an expiry date and you have to apply for a new one, it won't be sent automatically. Although not currently valid for healthcare in Turkey, they are if you travel over to Greece during your stay - so worth carrying, just in case.
