has anyone eaten in Maya restaurant?

If you are are Kalkan revisitor (is that a word?) You will remember Sivili (owner, chef, generally lovelly person who's name i've never been able to spell!) and wonderull cook who used to run Tailors restaurant?!
 
Small, intimate, roof top restaurant with amazing home cooked turkish food!!!

In our visit in May we went to Maya at long last, and after a fabulous meal wondered why it had taken us so long to try it!  We went on the Thursday as that menu especially appealed to us.  Sevilay (who cooks and serves you) is a sweetheart and her food delicious.  The only thing I'd say is be careful of the rather slippy stairs on the way down, and don't wear brand new sandals from the market...you might slip and come a cropper like me! Highly recommend Maya - we'll be back there in September - 7 weeks to go!

Yes, we too went to Maya in June after wondering what it was like on many visits. The owner as has previously been said is lovely and an excellent chef. Because it's so small it also has a lovely ambience. We will definitely go back in October.

Thanks so much everyone, you've whetted my appetite. We're back in September so will definitely make sure we go this time. I keep seeing it from the old town camera on KTLN and now I'll make sure I wave for the camera
