Chillies Restaurant - Mon 19th July

• Dinner for four people; bill =  TL113 (or £12.28 per head).
  Including: a bottle of Angora Red, 3 beers, water and soft drinks, 4 mains (casseroles, traditional kebabs & sizzling plates), plus 2extra salads and 2 extra chips. Bring on the 36 inch shorts.
   
  So, that’s got the serious bit out of the way.
   
  Chillies is fun. Not least because the Head Waiter is Mr Happy, he has no option but to smile – his name is difficult to say too loud. And as for Toni (Kenan), he is crazy; you can see it in his face! It may be serious about its food, but Chillies really is a fun place to go. It’s immaculately clean, open and airy and the music is contemporary. Even though it is right there on the Kalamar Road, and not in a romantic setting, Chillies has got it right. It makes you smile.
   
  It doesn’t do fish. We’re into kebabs, pides and casserole shere. I chose the sizzling liver & vegetables, kept hot on its own stove. Delicious. There’s a choice of interesting salad combinations and dressings, and that lovely hot bread that blows up like a giant sausage. I’ve spied an aubergine & meat ball layered dish that has my name on it for next time.
   
  The other side exit from the Mediterranean Apartments brings you up a side road right opposite Chillies, so access from us here is great. And with Wi-Fi, Antler has it made.
   
  After just a few months, it’s already a popular restaurant. Chillies will definitely be seeing a lot more of us.

Couldn't agree more Mr Antler, in my humble opinion Chillies really have got it right, Turkish food at a very reasonable price. As far as I am aware there is not a non Turkish dish on the menu. So, ironically it would appear that they have introduced a new concept in dining in Kalkan although the food is actually Turkish.
With a strong corporate logo, I would not be surprised to see a chillies in many more resorts sometime soon....................no, I do not know something you all don't. I just think that they have got it right and wish them well.

I feel really jealous now as it was June when we last went to chillis and it had only been open 3 Weeks, what a find!! They have got it absolutely right and although it's on the Kalamar road and away from the harbour it's food and service is just so good and reasonably priced that you can forgo the view sometimes (5 times in 2 weeks). I hope that their success does not push up the prices and the standards stay as high. I cannot reccomend this restaurant more highly it is a joy. Can't wait to get back in October and try it again.

We've got it on the list for next year!! We stayed at the Lizo in June so walked past it everyday and kept saying 'we'll try there before we leave' and we just never managed to fit it in so it's a definite for next year!!

is Chillies at the Tesko roundabout end of Kalamar Road and is it open for lunch?
we are staying just up the road so sounds like a great lunch venue

About 100 metres along from the Teskom/Kaya roundabout.  Open all day, as far as I know

If you come down the steps at the front of Samira,stand in front of teskom supermarket with your back to it,there is a roundabout,the rd in front of you is Kalamar rd,go up this rd 200-300 yds its on your right,you cant miss it.

Its very close to Samira Gardens, and not too far from Samira Hotel but quite a trek from Samira Deluxe - depends which one you are staying in. If its SD, and you decide to go into town most evenings, its considerably nearer than most of the restaurants often mentioned on here for you.

At lunch time you still get the free "puffy bread" and if tou like a light lunch just choose a couple of starters and maybe a salad. They are very obliging and will serve a light snack, a wonderfull meze platter or a full blown meal. Gosh thats made me feel hungry. Don't miss this wonderfull eaterie it's only a very short walk up the kalamar Road. Enjoy

Just echoing the thoughts and remarks on Chillies, a brilliant addition to the Kalkan scene; excellent value and a great atmosphere with great staff

But does Kenan really look like Robson Green?! I guess it doesn't really matter if the food and atmosphere is good?!

What would be the most direct way to get to Chillies from Samira Deluxe?  Don't mind too long a walk.  I'm sure we will be able to stop for an Efes on the way!

Chillies is great, good prices super food and on the doorstep if you are staying at The Oliver Apartments or The Regency.
