Dress Shorts/Trousers
« on: June 14, 2010, 12:27:55 PM »
Hi All

I wonder if someone can advise.  My husband would like to go out for evening meals in dress short, will this be acceptable or does he need to wear long trousers

In the very hot weather I always wear smart shorts at night and so do many other men, some still wear long trousers but I dont know how they can stand wearing those when it can get so hot and humid even in the evenings in July and August. Never had a worry and always made welcome and feel comfortable in any restaurant - you are on holiday!

None of the restaurants have a dress code for evening, so let him wear what he feels most comfortable in. We got back last week after a three week stay and I have to say my BH would have killed for long trousers during the early part of our stay - it was unseasonably cold. After a couple of nights of borrowed pashminas...yes really...he bought a jumper at V&B!!...as I say..no dress code ;D ;D
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)
