...that's not Christmas..that's madness!!! I'm ready to do my annual Christmas Eve M&S food scrum. I get there when it opens at 8am - me and 300 hunderd other women and a few bewildered men - and with military precision I attack my list and go into battle. Why, you ask? I couldn't tell you! It's madness and somehow we lose all sense of what's normal. I have been known to put 10 tubs of double cream in my trolly, then sheepishly return half of them when the frenzy dies down and also fight over a fresh turkey in the days before they could be ordered in advance....if you have your hand on it, it's yours right?? :P
The season of goodwill to all men is sadly absent in M&S foodhalls on Christmas Eve ;D

Yes, it's bedlam here in South Wales too and if I hear another rendition of another naff Christmas tune I don't think I'll be liable for my actions >:D. Christmas week has got off to a great start here, the cars playing up something rotten, credit card's gone walkabout, I'm coughing like I've been smoking forty a day, and to top it all just discovered this morning for the first time ever my dog's got worms, no kidding :'(. So it's a trip to the vets after, mind you even that will be a better than scrummaging in Tesco LOL! Only one thing for it a few stiff ones tonight, drink's that is, will have to stop off at Wetherspoons for a medicinal Efes. Blue Lizard you're the Efes connoisseur, do you know if they stock it in any of the supermarkets at the mo? Like to get some in for Christmas so I can relax with a cold one and imagine I'm in Kalkan, mind you that will take some doing!! Have a great Christmas everyone, drink eat and be VERY VERY MERRY LOL!

No pushing in M&S or Tesco, just order a turkey from Bulent to have at home with the pickled onions and have Christmas lunch at the Kaya.
Life is so stress free  Merry Christmas from Kalkan

Merry Christmas to everyone on the forum.
We will be enjoying Christmas lunch at the Kaya too, see you there Rookie.
According to Kadir last night they are catering for fifty people, so should be a good day all round, as was last year.
All the best from M n M

PS Happy Birthday BL

Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLUE LIZARD is it rude to ask a gentleman how old he is? Have you had a hair of the dog today or maybe a full coat depending on how much you downed, never mind if you feel grotty the next day it usually means you had a good time and at least you actually remembered where you went lol! I'll be celebrating half a century next month so I'll be definitely stocking up on the Resolves, always intend to be sensible but it never happens does it, trouble is I'm easily led  Lol!

Not seen efes in any Birmingham Tesco but they do stock it in Morrisons (£1 for a 500ml bottle at the mo)  :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Very envious of all of you celebrating in Kaya this Christmas.  We had a fabulous day last year, from beginning to end.  Erol, Kadiz and the boys excelled themselves.  Wish we were joining you.  Maybe next year ......
I've got to wait until June for my fix :(

Happy Christmas everyone and Happy Birthday BL
