Moth's
« on: September 16, 2009, 07:55:20 PM »
Has anyone else had problems with moths. Those little ***###@# are all over my place. I clean up,(grubs and all) but whenever I open a cupboard door, one fly's out.
Has anyone got a solution?

Balls  ;D  Moth balls?  *stands back and waits for jokes about being able to actually see them*

Seriously though, I have been told that you cannot beat good old fashioned mothballs for keeping the blighters at bay. Personally I cannot bear the smell of them though - is it camphor?  Lavender is also supposed to be a deterrent and much more pleasing to the olfactory senses  :)

Cedar wood blocks (from Lakeland) seem to work. I sprinkle them through our big wooden trunk (no, I don't have a big wooden elephant to go with it!) and freshen them up with cedar oil every year.
