BBQ
« on: September 07, 2009, 10:16:34 AM »
Hi, on our way to Kalkan in 2 weeks and can't wait, we have been once before a few years ago and loved it! As much as I love eating in all teh fab restaurants in Kalkan, I would quite like to cook at the lovely apartment we have rented a couple of times, especially as all the fresh produce you can buy there is so good. The apartment we have rented doesn't have a barbecue though and I would really like to barbecue some fresh fish, anyone know where you can buy a small reasonably priced barbecue in Kalkan? Thanks :)

Certainly at Can Can on the Kalamar Road they sell a BBQ box which you just take the lid off and light and ....hey presto an instant one-off BBQ :)

And the very first supermarket below the Nur Hotel (I think it's called KAYIN?) certainly sells a very large range of BBQ's - all sorts of them, stacked head high!

Yalı is the first market down from Nur, I think, but do you mean Kartin?

It may be a good idea just to check with the owners that they okay with the BBQ idea, not all are for a variety of reasons
