Yes it can, and I'm sure lots of people do walk into Kalkan, not so good walking back in the dark I have been told......but, again for me its the car  >:D

Hi Pushkin
we often stay in Komurluk which is just a bit along from Patara Prince on the Kas Road. We always walk in and back from Kalkan, no problem. It will take about 15-20 mins for you and it's a fairly flat walk. The Kas Road is well lit, but doesn't have much for pedestrians in the way of pavement - take a little torch so you can see where you are putting your feet between the street lights. I'd suggest you try walking it once and if you're not happy take taxis. :)
I notice you've also posted about the weather in October - we've never been in October before, but are coming back this year mid October. I've read reports on this site that the weather is nice during the day - possiblility of some rain - but a bit chilly in the evenings so a pashmina or a cardi may be needed. The sea is warm though  :)
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

We have a villa in Patara Prince, and can honestly say you will have no trouble walking into Kalkan. Although not a proper path there is a metal barrier alonside the road and if you step over it can walk along a roughish path most of the way down the hill. We walk into Kalkan in August so in October the heat will be less intense of an evening. It takes about 20 minutes. Patara Prince also run a shuttle boat , the last one is at 7 o clock into Kalkan. This is an alternative means of transport if you don't fancy the walk.
