Although the long-life milk (sut) available in Kalkan isn''t that bad I have often craved ''fresh pasteurised milk'' on cornflakes etc.
To my delight I have found fresh milk in the Smile supermarket next to the butcher at the main roundabout in the village. It is in the standard UK style plastic bottle, branded by sutas (these are not the correct Turkish letters but I am using an English keyboard) and is only available in ''red top'' full fat.
They call it daily milk and be warned, it really does only last a day or two.....................but delicious.
